Also called "Bait", the Food item in The Legend of Zelda has a limited use. It is an supportive item in most cases, yet required at a certain point in the game. Placing the Food in an area where enemies are present will distract them as they gather near the bait, allowing Link to pass a crowded path or easily cut down the foes.
However, there is a certain point in the game where a stubborn enemy within the Demon Labyrinth may require Link to give up the Food before he can pass.
