Recently I tried to upload an image (of a lily pad in Majora's Mask, if you're wondering) and I kept getting a warning that the file extension did not match the MIME type, even though the file was a .jpg at the source, I saved it as such, and I uploaded it as such. I tried using other extensions but, as you might expect, the problem persisted for every other type of file extension this wiki uses. I kind of want to get this image through since it's the only good image of a lily pad from this game I've been able to find online thus far. Any idea what's going wrong? --Osteoderm Jacket 05:59, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

:Hmmm...that's rather strange. Could you perhaps upload the image to Dropbox, Photobucket, Imageshack, etc. or link to the original image? I'll try and upload it...although I doubt it will work, it doesn't hurt to give it a shot. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Abdullah, who usually knows about this stuff, is absent right now, so...that's all I can say to help ya! :/ --Dany36 20:59, 24 July 2012 (EDT)
::Here's a link to the image source: http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/HolyFateHeeroYui/LegendofZeldaThe-MajorasMaskUsnap0001-3.jpg --Osteoderm Jacket 21:37, 24 July 2012 (EDT)
:::Strange, I just uploaded it and it didn't give me an error... However, I uploaded two other images that I think are a bit better than the one linked... Hope you don't mind. :) --Dany36 23:28, 24 July 2012 (EDT)
::::I don't mind, and they are better. --Osteoderm Jacket 23:33, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

Autopatrol Request
Although Autopatrol is not usually granted upon request, I want my edits to be automatically marked as "patrolled" without having the staff to patrol my own edits. I'm starting to edit more pages outside my userpage. Since I rarely make mistakes and hate vandalism, I want the Autopatrol right. -- 17:09, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

:We as staff are constantly reviewing users' edits and every edit made is an important part of the process. We have, at this time, still not yet decided to make you Autopatrol. However, when the time comes and we deem it appropriate, we will do so. Please continue to make edits as normal, remembering the advice given to you up to this point about courtesy when editing, using the show preview button, etc. and we will continue to observe your edits and make the appropriate decision. We love that you are so enthusiastic about ZW, and we look forward to patrolling your edits for the foreseeable future. :) --Xizor 07:52, 25 July 2012 (EDT)
:Cuddles, I'm not an admin, but I can't help but notice that the majority of your edits thus far have been to your own page. Now, I do edit my user page rather often myself, but not to the extent that it takes up most of my activity here. You don't seem to have a long record of contributing to the wiki yet. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but it seems to me you should have some patience. You'll attain that status soon enough. --Osteoderm Jacket 21:57, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

::Agreed, I'm not an autopatrol, but I don't go around expecting to recieve it, I asked if there were ways for me to improve in order to get closer to attaining it. Demanding autopatrol just makes it less likely for you to get it. Patience, Young PadawanXXSuperXXNintendoXx 22:08, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

:::I, however, am an admin, and can pretty much tell you that what these two guys have said pretty much covers why we don't just give away Autopatrol status to whoever asks for it. It's not about the quantity of edits, or even about the mistakes (I still make mistakes when editing!)...it's about the quality of the edits that you've done. You can have 1000 edits with nothing to show for them but userpage edits and other minor edits, but I'd rather give autopatrol to someone who only has 50 edits and yet has shown serious interest in improving the wiki overall. Despite that we may complain about having to patrol useless edits, that does not mean that anyone can get autopatrol rights just because we can be kind of lazy at our jobs. :P So please, do not keep asking for autopatrol rights, because the more you ask for them, the less likely it is that you'll get them. Thank you! --Dany36 22:32, 24 July 2012 (EDT)
