The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was the basis for a manga written in 1994 by Ataru Cagiva under the alternate name "Dreaming Island. Although the plot was almost the same there were several differences in the game when compared to the game it was based on. Most notably this includes Link's fairy companion, Felicia.
