Mogmas are a race featured in Skyward Sword. They live on Eldin Volcano and have the ability to dig into and out of the ground. They resemble a cross between a prairie dog and an ape.

History

When Link arrives at Eldin Volcano, he learns that Bokoblins are are invading Mogma villages, and he must get rid of them in order to enter the temple. After Link frees the Mogmas from the Bokoblins, they give the young hero the Digging Mitts in gratitude. The Mogmas tell Link that they broke apart the key to the nearby Earth Temple and hid the five pieces beneath the ground. As Link requires the key to enter the temple, Link must use Fi's dowsing abilities to find the pieces and dig them up.[1][2]
