In Oracle of Ages, Link transforms into {{{2}}}, a merman[1] with a powerfull tail for impulse his body when he immerses in water deep enough. This occurs from the moment he find Mermaid Suit at Mermaid's Cave and works as an upgrade for Zora's Flippers. As merman, Link can swim faster and access very deep water zones, like Labryna's Sea and profound wells. He cannot only swim these water masses, but also he can immerse himself for explore theseabed as well as other places like submarine caves, flooded grottos, etc.
