Phantom Hourglass
The Wood Heart is obtained by giving the Guard Notebook to Nyave in the Southwestern sea of the World of the Ocean King. Giving it to the Wayfarer on his ship in the Southeastern sea allows Link to return to Bannan Island and get the Swordsman's Scroll, which allows him to use the Spin Attack.
Spirit Tracks
The Wood Heart appears a a Treasure in Spirit Tracks. It can be sold for 50 Rupees or traded with Linebeck III for Train Cars.
