Crab
Crabs are small animals found in The Wind Waker and aggressive creatures in Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. They should not be confused with the large, dangerous Sand Crabs.
The Wind Waker
In The Wind Waker, crabs are small, helpless creatures that are found near the water on islands across the Great Sea, usually on sand but sometimes in grass. They are the smallest creatures in the game, and are completely harmless. If Link gets too close to them, they will scatter and disappear into the ground, then resurface once Link is no longer nearby. They are found throughout the beaches of the Great Sea, but are very common on Outset Island.

In Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland there are four kinds of crabs. At the Sunshine Seashore, the aggressive Red Crab can be found, as well as the Rock Crab. Only Minced Meat and the Marine Gem are received from the Red Crab, for the Rock Crab does not yield any items. The Blue Crab is also aggressive and can be found at Cape Treasure and Lon Lon Meadow. The Ground Shell and Marine Stone are obtained once defeated. The Fairy Garden is the habitat for the coward Purple Crab, but it is unknown what can be obtained once it is eliminated.
