Gustaf
Template:Character Appearing in The Minish Cap, King Daultus is an ancient King of Hyrule from countless ages ago and the earliest known Hylian King in the history of Hyrule, ruling at some point in the early days of Hyrule's Force Era. He is said to have been very fond of the Wind Tribe and, even ages after his passing, wants to keep the peace of the Kingdom of Hyrule secure from beyond the grave.
Appearing many ages after his death, he first appeared to Link as a ghostly figure after the latter retrieved the Water Element from the Temple of Droplets at Lake Hylia. He tells the young hero his identity as an ancient king and marks his grave on the hero's map, requesting that he come visit him. When Link arrives at the Royal Crypt where Gustaf slumbers, the ancient king gives him a gold Kinstone piece that will open a stone door in Veil Falls. This allows Link to reach the Cloud Tops where the king's favourite people reside, allowing the young hero to find the Wind Element protected by them.
