Hanch
Template:Character Hanch is a character in Twilight Princess. He is a meek, but friendly man, who procures a strong temper when agitated.
Biography
Hanch is Beth's father and Sera's husband, and resides in Ordon Village. At the start of the game he stands staring up at the Tree above Fado's house, which is Bee-infested. He is content on knocking down the hive and extract bee larva to please his wife who has been upset ever since their cat disappeared.[1] If Link stays around Hanch for a few seconds after speaking to him, he will throw a rock at the nest, causing bees to swarm and chase him into the lake. Link can help him out by knocking down the nest with either the Slingshot or a Hawk. If he uses the slingshot, bees will attack him, but if he uses a hawk, they will not. The bees' nest is the only free source of Bee Larva in the game.
After his daughter is kidnapped by King Bulblin's troupe, he sends a Hawk after Wolf Link whenever he comes close, believing Wolf Link to be his daughter's kidnapper. For Link to obtain the Ordon Shield, he must get up on the roof of the shop and scare Hanch into jumping into the lake once again. If Link goes back in human form and speaks to him, he says he will do his best to be a better father.
