When {{Term|TPHD|Link}} enters {{Term|TPHD|Hyrule Castle|link}}, just as he is about to get overwhelmed by enemies, {{Term|TPHD|Ashei}} and the rest of the {{Term|TPHD|Resistance|link}} arrive and clear a path, allowing {{Term|TPHD|Link}} to proceed to the last few floors of {{Term|TPHD|Hyrule Castle}} and eventually reach {{Term|TPHD|Ganondorf|link}}.
After {{Term|TPHD|Hyrule}} returns to peace, {{Term|TPHD|Ashei}}, {{Term|TPHD|Shad|link}}, and {{Term|TPHD|Auru|link}} can be seen at the {{Term|TPHD|Sacred Grove|link}} exploring its ruins.

A member of [[Telma]]'s [["The Group"|resistance]], '''Ashei''' (アッシュ, ''Asshu'') is a young woman with black hair. She was raised in the mountains by her father, a knight of [[Hyrule]], and learned multiple combat skills from him (she is seen to be carrying a sword, and later on in the game a bow and a quiver of arrows), as well as taking on a somewhat blunt personality and a rough way of speaking (the fact that she tends to end sentences with "yeah?" could be considered a part of this). This idiosyncratic way of ending sentences with "yeah?", and the similarities between the two aesthetically, may be a reference to ''The Wind Waker's'' [[Gonzo]]. It could be said that she is stronger than most men in Hyrule; at the very least, she seems to have a rather derogatory view of the soldiers of Hyrule, stating at one point that she thought that Hyrule was "empty of men of valor" and giving the reason she was rude to Link as her thinking that he was like "one of those sorry excuses for Hyrule soldiers".

In {{TP|Himekawa}}, {{Term|TPHD|Ashei}} states that the {{Term|TPHD|Snowpeak Ruins|link}} was once her home where she learned how to fight before her family abandoned it. After she learns that the {{Term|TPHD|Yeti|link}} couple who have made her former house their home are harmless, she allows them to remain there.

She seems to be interested in finding out why evil seems to control the mountain of [[Snowpeak]], and later tries to figure out the reason for the beast sightings around the [[Zora's Domain]]. When Link goes to see her there at a certain point in the game, she gives him [[Ashei's Sketch|a sketch]], which depicts a Yeti holding a red fish. When Link shows it to [[Zoras]], he finds that the fish is a [[Fish#Reekfish|Reekfish]] and that [[Prince Ralis]] knows about them, being a skilled angler. Link goes to Ralis, gets the Coral Earring, and is able to fish for a Reekfish, which enables him to follow the fish's strong scent through the blizzard encompassing Snowpeak.
