The Chief Soldier appears as the boss of two stages in Four Swords Adventures, reappearing later as a normal enemy. Normally accompanied by a large group of soldiers, the Chief Soldier is comparatively much larger and tougher. They behave similarly to the Big Dark Stalfos.
