Fado (The Wind Waker)
Fado is a young lad that belongs to the evolved Kokiri race. He served as the Sage of Wind. He served as the second of the two Sages who prayed to keep the power to repel evil embedded in the Master Sword. Fado was killed when by the evil beast Molgera, sent by Ganondorf. All that was left of Fado after his death was his spirit.
Fado appeared to Link after he learned the notes for the Wind God's Aria. He told Link that in order to completely restore the power of the Master Sword, he must find a Kokiri descendant who possesses the same instrument as Fado and lead him to the Wind Temple.
When Link finds the new sage and destroys Molgera, he conducts the Wind God's Aria for Makar. Fado joins him in the playing of the song. This action allows the full power of the Master Sword to return at long last. Also, a remix of the music played when Link first meets him is the fifth Howling Stone song in Twilight Princess.
