It is invulnerable to damage from {{Plural|LANS|Bomb|link}}, the {{Term|LANS|Bow|link}}, the {{Term|LANS|Magic Rod|link}} or the {{Term|LANS|Sword}}. In its {{Term|LANS|Buzz Blob}} form, {{Term|LADX|Giant Buzz Blob}} will shoot lightning bolts which the young hero must avoid. When struck in its {{Term|LANS|Buzz Blob}} state, it taunts {{Term|LANS|Link}} and tells him to try using another {{Term|LANS|Item|link}}.<ref>{{Cite|You fool! Your {{Color|LANS Pink|sword won't work}}! Try something else!|Giant Buzz Blob|LANS}}</ref> Its weakened form attempts to leap at {{Term|LANS|Link}}.

In {{LANS}}, the Giant Buzz Blob is redesigned to be colored green in its Buzz Blob state, although it is still colored blue in its weakened state.

==Trivia==
*The {{Term|LADX|Magic Powder}} turns the {{Term|LADX|Giant Buzz Blob}} into a form that resembles the {{Term|TAoL|Boss Bot|link}} from {{TAoL}}.
*The {{Term|LADX|Giant Buzz Blob}} shares some of its characteristics with the {{Term|TMC|Big Blue Chuchu|link}} from {{TMC}}.
