Template:Item Great Fairy's Tears are an item featured in Twilight Princess.

Location

The method of earning Great Fairy's Tears is significantly harder than similar items like the Rare Chu Jelly, as only one bottle is given to Link by Jovani after capturing 20 Poe Souls. After this, he'll reveal that more can be found in the Gerudo Desert, referring to the Cave of Ordeals, where Great Fairy's Tears are the reward from the Great Fairy after surviving fifty monster-filled rooms. Clearing the cave also allows Link to receive a new bottle of Great Fairy's Tears from the Spirits of Light in their springs around Hyrule.

Link can only acquire Tears from springs when he has none in his inventory, making the possession of multiple bottles increasingly difficult. The only method to fill more than one bottle at a time with Great Fairy's Tears is to complete the Cave of Ordeals, which yields a single bottle of the substance for each successful completion.

Uses

Great Fairy's Tears is a bottled item. When used, not only does it restore full health, but also momentarily doubles the sword's attack strength. Its function is similar to the Elixir Soup from The Wind Waker, but unlike the soup, a bottle of these tears only holds one serving and wears off after a short time.

Trivia

  • It is unknown how Jovani acquired the bottle of Great Fairy's Tears he gives to Link. It may be one of the countless treasures he got when he sold his soul to Poes.
