Kagoron's name is likely a portmanteau of the Japanese word, {{Romanize|鍵|Kagi|Key}}, and Goron. This is reflected in his appearance, and that of his storage house containing the {{Term|ST|Freight Car}}, which are both covered in markings resembling keys.

'''Kagoron''' is a [[Goron]] that appears in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks|Spirit Tracks]]''. He is the [[Mountain Goddess]] Messenger. He appears as a normal Goron, but is covered in ash, very similar to [[Gor Liggs]].
Once Kagoron notices that Link is a train engineer, he will give Link a Freight Car.
