Resembling a cyclopean cloud, {{Term|ALttP|Kholdstare}} hails blocks of {{Term|ALttP|Ice|link}} from the {{Term|ALttP|Ice Palace|display=Palace}}'s ceiling down at {{Term|ALttP|Link|link}} that sometimes shatter into {{Plural|ALttP|Magical Decanter|link}} when {{Term|ALttP|Link}}'s {{Term|ALttP|Magic Gauge|link}} is empty.<ref name="E 187">{{Cite Book|quote= The boss of the Ice Palace in {{ALttP|-}} resembles a cloud with a single eye. Initially, it is wrapped in ice to protect itself and Link must use fire to melt the barrier. During {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Link}}'s search for a {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Map|link}} of the {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Dark World|link}}, the young hero travels to the {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Ice Tower|link}}, where he is confronted by {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Kholdstone}}. {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Link}} states that all he wants is to see the {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Map}} of the {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Dark World}},<ref>{{Cite Book|quote=I don't want any '''trouble'''! I just want to see the map of the Dark World!|book= ALttP (Ishinomori)|publisher= |page=5}}</ref> but {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Kholdstone}} tells him that the {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Map}} is its greatest treasure and it will not let anyone see it.<ref name="Kholdstone"/> The monster unleashes two {{Plural|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Stalfos|link}} to attack {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Link}}, but when the young hero sees that they keep respawning even after defeating them, he begins to focus his power on the {{Term|ALttP (Ishinomori)|Master Sword|link}},<ref>{{Cite Book|quote=It's impossible to keep them down!
