Lupay (pronounced /ˈluːpeɪ/ LOO-pay)[1] is the fifth boss in The Faces of Evil, and is located in the Lupay area.

Biography

Lupay is a minion of Ganon. Lupay enslaves Koridians by cursing them with Rubies, replacing their souls and turning them into Moblins.[2] Lupay also possesses a third eye which fires energy beams. Link defeats Lupay by deflecting energy shots shot by the wolf with the Reflecting Shield, and Lupay howls before fading away.

Strategy

Lupay can only be defeated by deflecting his energy shots with the Reflecting Shield.

Trivia

  • Lupay is the only boss in Link: The Faces of Evil, other than Ganon, who is fought once.
  • Lupay is similar to the The Wand of Gamelon boss Omfak. Both are the penultimate bosses before Ganon who take on wolf-like forms.
  • Lupay has a distinctly female voice in the english version, but in other languages possesses a male voice.
