Sumo is a classic Japanese martial art, featured in Twilight Princess.

Link is taught the art of Sumo by Bo, who also gives him the Iron Boots to enable him to effectively wrestle the Gorons.

The three techniques of Sumo in Twilight Princess are:

  • Push
  • Slap
  • Sidestep

Push grabs the foe and starts to push them toward the edge of the arena.

Slap stuns the enemy, and is a useful combo when followed with "Push".

Sidestep is a defensive tactic, and can be used to push a enemy toward a close boundary of the arena.

After you defeat Gor Coron in a match, you gain access to the Goron Mines, and easy access to the hot spring below from the room.
