Beginning with The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the concept of time travel has been a part of several Legend of Zelda titles.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

In the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Link eventually travels back and forth between the past and present.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Link again travels through time in Ocarina of Time, but this time between his childhood and his adulthood. Certain tasks can only be performed as a child, and certain tasks only as an adult. Items such as the slingshot can only be used by Young Link while items such as the Hylian Sheild can only be used by Adult Link.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Link must continuously restart time in order to restart the three-day cycle that will result in the apocalypse if Link does not prevent the Moon from crashing into the Earth. Link can only go back in time, however. Certain items and tasks must be acquired or done later in the cycle, and used earlier in the cycle.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

Using the instrument of a kidnapped oracle Link travels between present day and 400 years previous with three temporal songs to open time portals or independently flit between eras.
