General information

Zelda.com is the official Zelda site, owned by Nintendo, and designed/run by POP. It has gone through many different designs and incarnations, upon the release of new games. The site layout uses flash.

Lack of Updating

  • Beginning on September 14th, 2007, there were links to the wrong sections on the home page of Zelda.com. The Twilight Princess link along the right navigation links to the Minish Cap section of the website.
  • As of August of 2009, the Zelda.com website still showcases a Phantom Hourglass Countdown Widget, which was first put online on September 14th, 2007 to lead up to the release of Phantom Hourglass. Phantom Hourglass was released on October 1st, and the countdown widget no longer was operational, but has remained on the website for the next 21+ months. While the site was updated to include information on Spirit Tracks in November 2009, the encyclopedia section remains out-of-date, not including information from newer games such as Twilight Princess or Phantom Hourglass.

New ways

As of the 13th May Zelda.com is up to date with up-to-date news of all games. It purposely had a restoration project, but Nintendo has not stated any official information about it.

Encyclopedia

Zelda.com now has a Encyclopedia consisting of many FAQ's and Walkthroughs of the games. From The Legend of Zelda to Four Swords Adventures it has a walkthrough for each of the games. However, its glossary is the same as before.

Extra Features

The site consists an image gallery with wallpapers of games in the Zelda series.

Sub sites

Zelda.com also contains sub sites. These are pages which are focused on one game, with the current ones being Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks.
