  • January 10th, 2010 - New Wiki Exclusive: Midnafan321 presents a new Wiki Exclusive which looks at the similarities between Zelda weapons and those used in the Middle Ages. Take a look at it here, and discuss it on its talk page!
  • January 1st, 2010 - Zelda Wiki.org is offering a link-exchange affiliation for other websites. See our current affiliates and notify your other favorite sites so they too can join.
  • January 1st, 2010 - New Wiki Exclusive Articles are Coming Soon! An increase of author interest in this format has the staff reviewing 3 submissions from 3 different authors! Contact any of the staff members if you too are interested in submitting an article.
  • January 1st, 2010 - With the new calendar month, you can help give 2010 a strong start by voting for Featured Articles and Featured Pictures.
  • January 1st, 2010 - Zelda Wiki.org finished 2009 on several high notes: 2 new Featured Articles, 7 new Featured Pictures, 2 new Wiki Exclusive Articles, passed the 50 million pageviews milestone by far, and closing in on 4,900 members! Congratulations, and thanks to everyone involved in our continued success!
  • December 27th, 2009 - Zelda Wiki.org's trivia sections will be used for TNMC Productions' Zeldathon. Zeldathon is a 4 day, non-stop, playthrough of Zelda to benefit the Child's Play charity. The Trivia will be apart of a Q&A Trivia Game played often during the stream. The stream will also feature other games and giveaways. The Child's Play charity helps across the United States to donate toys and games to children in hospitals.

You can watch the stream live, and who knows, you may win ZeldaWiki.org's trivia segment!

  • December 24th, 2009 - Seasons Greetings: Zelda Wiki.org wishes you a safe and happy holiday season.
  • December 23rd, 2009 - Low Quality Images: Across Zelda Wiki, there are numerous images that are of an unacceptably low quality. If you are able to help with replacing these images with higher quality pictures, then head over to the image requests page.
  • December 18th, 2009 - Wiki Exclusive: Brent McBride returns with another of his Wiki Exclusive articles. This time, Zelda and the Middle Ages, takes a look at how aspects of the Zelda series relate to those throughout history. You can also discuss the article on its talk page.
  • December 15th, 2009 - New Projects: Two new group projects have been setup to target particular aspects of wiki content for improvement. ZELDA is the the Zelda Wiki Editor Large-scale Destubbing Assignment, and SaRIA is the Source and Reference Improvement Association. Check out the projects, and sign up if you'd like to take part!
  • November 14th, 2009 - Community Content: Our Community content has recently been moved to its own, newly created namespace (indicated by the "Community:" prefix). This will allow the Community pages to be expanded and improved in future, while keeping them separate from normal in-game content in the Main namespace.
  • November 4th, 2009 - New Wiki Exclusive Article: Many years after the feature was first launched, we're revisiting the Wiki Exclusives with the addition of a new article! We proudly present Trinity of Truth, by our very own Brent McBride (Cipriano 119).
  • October 24th, 2009 - Capitalized File Extensions: Over the past few days, all of the files which had capitalized extensions (.PNG, .GIF, .JPG etc:) have been moved so that they all have lowercase extensions (.png, .gif, .jpg etc:). When uploading files in the future, please remember to upload them with lowercase file extensions.
  • September 30th, 2009 - Thumbnail Issues Fixed: The thumbnail issue was rooted in ImageMagick, our image processing software. Until ImageMagick fixes its issues, we've switched to GD, an alternative image processor. It works just as well (and actually works), so we'll be sticking with it until ImageMagick gets its act together.
  • September 28th, 2009 - Thumbnail Issues: This is just an update to let people know that we are still dealing with the thumbnails issues, and that we hope to have them fixed by tomorrow at the latest. We know the cause of the error, but applying what appears to be the logical fix doesn't seem to do anything. We'll update this page when the issue is fixed. Until that time, file uploading is still disabled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • September 19th, 2009 - Transition Completed: The process of moving the wiki to its new home is now complete. Although a small number of edits were unfortunately lost during the process, much of this has now been restored. We are still experiencing minor issues with image thumbnails; please stand by while this is being resolved, and refrain from uploading any new images at present. Thank you for your patience.
  • September 18th, 2009 - Server Move: Zelda Wiki.org has been down due to a recent server move, some edits made after September 16th have been lost. We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion.
  • September 13th, 2009 - Errors Fixed: Zelda Wiki.org has now fixed a long-standing error that prevented some page references from being visible while not logged in. All page references should be visible no matter if the person viewing is logged in or not.
  • September 7th 2009 - Navigation Panel: Zelda Wiki.org now has included a navigation bar at the top of the Main Page that allows easy access to all of the main series games as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages.
  • August 27th, 2009 - Twitter: Zelda Wiki is now on Twitter. Why not follow us here?
  • August 27th, 2009 - User Accounts: Zelda Wiki now has a page explaining various aspects about user accounts.
  • August 22nd, 2009 - Glitch Standards: Zelda Wiki has new Glitch page standards for editing the glitch pages. Please read the Glitch Disclaimer Notes for more information.
  • August 15th, 2009 - The Pinnacle Award: Yesterday, Zelda Wiki.org won LegendOfZelda.com's coveted Pinnacle award for best Zelda site! Congratulations to all of our contributors, past and present, for helping to make this achievement possible!
  • July 15th, 2009 - Image Editor Applications Removed: The staff of Zelda Wiki.org has decided to withdraw the Image Editor Applications, leaving the quality control up to the individual members to check each others work.
  • June 23rd, 2009 - Ordon Village is the newest website to join the Zelda Wiki.org collaboration. They are also our tenth Mastermind! We are all very excited to have this young, fresh site involved with us. If you run a Legend of Zelda fansite why not become a part of Zelda Wiki?
  • June 17th, 2009 - Image Editor Applications: Zelda Wiki.org now has an application process for people who are experienced with image editing to apply so that they can help out with the image requests. See the image requests page for details on how to apply.
  • June 14th, 2009 - Sidebar Updated - If you haven't noticed, the Image Requests page has now been added to the sidebar (to the left) so that it is readily accessible from every page. Featured Content voting is now available through Castle Town.
  • June 13th, 2009 - New Template - A new template has been created for pages that contain incorrect wiki coding. See: {{Incomplete Coding}}.
  • June 13th, 2009 - Image Requests - There is a new section on the image requests page for changing files with a capitalized extension to lowercase, as per Zelda Wiki.org's image quality standards.
  • June 11th, 2009 - Zelda Wiki.org has an extensive number of pages pertaining to Glitches and Hacks, all of which need some expansion and work. If you are familiar with hacks and glitches you are welcome to contribute to these pages, and even if you aren't, your contributions can help to improve these page.
  • June 8th, 2009 - Portal to Hyrule is the newest website to join the Zelda Wiki.org collaboration. We all warmly welcome them on board. If you run a Legend of Zelda fansite why not become a part of Zelda Wiki?
  • June 7th, 2009 - New Template: A new template has been made, (Template:YouLink), so that articles which refer to playable characters as "you", "the player" or any other variation, can be flagged for improvement until they are corrected to refer to the specific characters.
  • June 6th, 2009 - Image Requests: The image request page has been revamped to correspond with the new quality standards on images.
  • May 30th, 2009 - New Quality Standard Policies: Zelda Wiki.org now has official written policies pertaining to adding theories to articles and the language to be used in articles, which will clear up some concerns held by a number of editors.
  • May 14th, 2009 - References: Remember when adding references to articles, do not just type in the title of the game it is from, but rather provide the specific quote. Links to websites are also acceptable for references.
  • May 7th, 2009 - A new template for out-of-date articles that need to be updated has been created. Type {{Update}} to add it to a page.
  • May 4th, 2009 - The Sacred Realm is the newest website to join the Zelda Wiki.org collaboration. Lets all give them a warm welcome.
  • April 30th, 2009 - We welcome the website LegendOfZelda.com as the newest Mastermind to Zelda Wiki.org. If you run a Legend of Zelda fansite why not become a part of Zelda Wiki?
  • April 16th, 2009 - Zelda Wiki has now taken an active role at Facebook. If you're a member at Facebook become a fan and join the group. Spread the word of Zelda Wiki through the number one friend networking site on the web.
