Zora

Zoras are a race of underwater creatures. They first appeared in Zora's Domain in Ocarina of Time. Fins, flippers, fish-like tails, they are a mix-breed between marine animals and human-like creatures. Their actual orgin up till now, remains a mystery. Although several speculations appear regarding the ideas of evolution from the Triforce in order to keep the world in balance.

A special breed of Zoras is called "Zoran Heroes". They are more powerful and faster than your average Zoras. They have blades that can cut flesh easily, and their electric discharge can stun most enemies. Controlling them are like controlling a jet plane, only, they swim through water at high speed with beautiful movements instead of through air.

In Majora's Mask the Zora lived in the Great Bay Area, in the south of Termina. Link learned to transform himself in a Zora named Mikau by using the Zora Mask.

Tattoos may also be seen on Zoras and Zoran Heroes. Some tattoos may symbolize courage and bravery, and others symbolize death and after life.
