Module:Infobox/Config/Language/Documentation
This is the documentation page for Module:Infobox/Config/Language
This page defines the parameters of Template:Infobox Language. The infobox may also include common parameters which are defined on the Module:Infobox/Config base page.
When editing this page, you can preview the effect of your changes using the Preview page with this functionality beneath the "Save changes" button. Put Template:Infobox Language
in the Page title field and click "Show preview" to see how the template would look if you saved your config changes. Verify that the parameter list is correct and that the usage examples look right.
When adding a new field to the infobox, consider updating the template's usage examples to include the parameter you have in mind, before even implementing it here with a config change. You can then use the "Preview page with this" functionality on those examples to validate the implementation before saving it.
Config
category
- The name of the category to be added automatically by the infobox. Should be a subcategory of Category:Content by Type.
inUniverse
- Infobox fields common to in-universe or real-world subjects are added automatically based on the value of this property. For a list of such properties, see Module:Infobox/Config. Should one or more of these fields not be desirable for this particular infobox, they can be omitted via the
omitParams
property (see below). [omitParams]
- List of parameters to omit from those added automatically according to the value of the
inUniverse
property. [addHiddenType]
If present, adds a
type
parameter which is not displayed in the infobox, but used internally to subcategorize the page it's used on.This form of categorization is an outdated practice. It has been deprecated in favor of using Template:Categories.
[addParams]
- Fields to add to the infobox.
