This is one of the many masks which Link comes to own in Majora's Mask. The mask is given to Link at the Fairy Fountain in Clock Town after finding a stray fairy.
The Great Fairy's Mask is likely the second mask found in Majora's Mask. It is designed to look like a Great Fairy's head. When worn, the hair on the mask will begin shimmering if there is a Stray Fairy in the room, and will also cause any Stray Fairies in that room to fly towards the wearer.

The mask shimmers pink whenever a stray fairy is nearby in a dungeon, and will attract stray fairies present in the room, so long as they are not trapped within a treasure chest or bubble.
Obtaining the Mask
The Great Fairy's Mask is obtained from the Great Fairy in North Clock Town. Upon visiting the Great Fairy, you will find that Skull Kid has shattered her into many Stray Fairies. You must find and bring back the missing one. During the day, the Stray Fairy can be found in the Laundry Pool. During the night, the Stray Fairy will be found in East Clock Town. Once you take the Stray Fairy back to the Great Fairy, she will give you the Great Fairy's Mask so you can locate more Stray Fairies in each dungeon, and return them to their respective Great Fairies.
