Baron status

Seeing as it requires NO LESS than a drifter bodyguard to defeat him shouldn't Baron be listed as a overworld boss or even a mini-boss? And on that subject if we do that I suggest we add the Ghost Ringleader to whatever section we add Baron to (if we add him to any at all other then the common enemy list which he's on now *gallery only*) --Shadow Reaper 09:34, 24 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Enemy names

Because the enemy section is quite lacking I'd like to know the source of the Japanese enemy names so I can add the missing ones. As far as I know only the bosses and some minor enemies (Bee, Oinker, Oyster, Pig, Turtle and Vitamin Plant) are namend directly in the game, so I need some help on this one. --ShardofTruth 01:46, 7 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm not sure those are even named directly, at least not capitalized. Oinkers and Vitamin Plants are, for sure, but I can't find a text dump to confirm the others. Most enemies have no English names and there is no English guide. I have access to the Japanese names, I can see if I can find a way to provide a list or scans of the pages from the guide. You're right, bee, oyster, pig and turtle aren't capitalized and with the expection of "pig" (which appears in the item description of the Pink Quartz), they all are just mentioned in dialogues and could be just descriptions. So a list from a Japanese guide book would be indeed helpful. The missing enemies are:
  • some kind of hornbug, they come in three colors and appear in Sunshine Seashore, the Pirate Hideaway and Mount Desma
  • the rabbits that appear in Cape Treasure, Icy Plain and Mount Desma
  • two colors of stag beetles, the first appears in Deku Forest, the other in Fairy Garden
  • the different colored plants that appear in Deku Temple
  • the monkey that appears in Steamy Marsh, there is also some form of mosquito cloud but it doesn't drop anything
  • the hornet that appears in Gooey Swamp
  • the two different alligator enemies and the scorpion that appear in Gooey Swamp
  • the penguin that appears in Icy Plain
  • the two bear variants that appear in Icy Plain and Mount Desma respectivly
  • the ghosts tha accompany the Ghost ringleader in Icy Plain
  • the shark and the possessed pirate crew members that appear on the Pirate Ship
  • the stone throwing owl on Mount Desma
  • the lava monster and the living rock that appear in Desma's Labyrinth
  • the camel, the "double monkies", the "Moldorm" and the sandworm that appear in Fairy Garden
  • the shrimp and turtle statues that appear in Auros Ruins, also the "Battle Robots" that guard the rupee good with the same name
The Oinkers are the most varied enemy in this game, the following types appear:
  • Pink Oinker with spear and shoddy shield in Lon Lon Meadow
  • Pink Oinker with club and tough shield in Deku Forest
  • White Oinker with lance and grey shield in Icy Plains accompanied by Pink Oinker Wizards
  • Greenish Oinker with axe and blue shield in Fairy Garden
  • Greenish Oinkers with axes, lances and blue shields in Auros Ruins accompanied by yellowish Oinker Wizards and some pink Oinkers on bowls
  • two giant Oinkers (one red and one blue), two types of fully armored Oinkers, an orange and a blue Oinker Wizard and the boss of the Oinkers itself that appear during the final fight in the Auros Ruins

What I can do is add all the names I know to the translation page for this game. It might take a bit of time but I'll try to do it very shortly. I can then also scan the pages, which will help match up the name to the enemy, since we don't have images for all of them yet, although some should be obvious. Give me time and I'll get on it, because god knows I can't add them all myself, haha. The help will be much appreciated so don't go anywhere and I'll get on it as soon as I can. I'm almost done with ripping the sprites for every enemy, I'm just searching for the last golden one in Fairy Garden, so images shouldn't be a problem. --ShardofTruth 01:11, 8 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
