Aren't those tusks his moustache? --Mr. Armageddon 10:51, 24 April 2007 (PDT)

That's what I always assumed. Seems more reasonable than a human with tusks... Adam 11:42, 24 April 2007 (PDT)

Bo might have connections to oric

I noticed something that might tie Bo in twilight princess, to Orc in windwaker (I might have Orc's name wrong so he is the guy who teaches windwaker link the hurricane spin) when in Bo's house look around and you will see a set of spears, these spears bear a strong resemblence to the ones Oric uses. (If I remember correctly they are above his front door)

Look into it and you might find some more connections between the two.

Ah, you mean Orca. Anyway, just because they both hang pole weapons on their walls? I think that's a bit of a stretch. They aren't even really the same kinds of weapons: Orca has spears, Bo has bladed weapons. Jimbo Jambo 08:09, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Link to previous games

The Legend of Zelda has a long tradition of using fathers and daughters inspired by previous games: Marin-Tarin (LA) Malon-Talon (OoT,OoS,MC,FSA) Pumm-Kina (SS) Maybe Talon and Malon were not the only inspiration sources, but seeing how Ilia is a young woman the same age as Link that cares for Epona and how Bo is a bit carefree and his daughter has to tell him to be more serious, I'd say that there are enough reason to note the similarities in the article SilverArcher (talk) 13:54, 2 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You do realize that that is barely any similarities at all. Might as well note on the Bubble article that it looks like Stalfos while we are at it. Seriously, there is no reason to note that at all. Champion of Nayru (talk) 23:46, 2 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Bo and Talon have the same personality and Ilia and Malon share a very simmliar relationship with Epona, caring for her and even giving Link the Epona Song/Horse Call. They also live in a rural area opposite to the people of Castle's Town. Those ARE similarities. Anyone else's opinion on this? SilverArcher (talk) 19:41, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You're really grasping at straws. They live in a rural area opposite of Castle Town? Really? Seriously, father-daughter relationships are pretty damn common. That is not a connection. Ilia cares for Epona, but it's not like she owns her. Ilia looks nothing like Malon and her role in the game is completely different, ditto for Bo and Talon. Ilia at least has the Epona connection; Bo is nothing like Talon: Bo isn't always sleeping, Bo doesn't have a farm, Bo is never exiled from his home. This wiki is trying to be professional, so there has to be a helluva lot of similarities between characters for it to be noteworthy; Bo is not similar enough to Talon and honestly, Illia and Malon is kinda a stretch. I think you're unto something in the same sense that Rusta and Keet are allusions to Rusl and Shad. However Pumm and Kina are already allusions to Telma and Ashei respectively. It's a stretch but I could see how Epona's song and the fact that Ordona is the agricultural hub of Hyrule in the same sense that the Lumpy Pumpkin is to the skyloft would connect Bo and Ilia to them as well. Tarin and Marin are both retroactively based on two characters themselves after all. But I see nothing enough to cement them as part of this running trope yet. Sorry for the interjection, I'm on mobile and can't scroll down. Servantofgod (talk) 20:43, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm sorry, but how exactly are thepeople at the Lumpy Pumpkin allusions to the Resistance? Keet vaguely looks similar, in that they are skinny guys, but Rusta shares nothing with Rusl other than their names start with "R." Pumm and Telma are both bartenders, no real similarities there, and Kina is absolutely nothing like Ashei.
Really now, are we just going to list every father/daughter dynamic as a reference to Talon/Malon? Champion of Nayru (talk) 02:47, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
