ARE the fishmen just talking about the Triforce or are they really a secret item in the game?-82.37.4.53

N-O they are not.(as far as EVERYONE knows) 25-2-08.

They're just talking about the Triforce. "Triumph Forks" probably just comes from the fact that all the legends had become but stories, and no one really remembered the Triforce or the Goddesses or even Hyrule. --Ando (Talk) 18:33, 25 February 2008 (EST)

Maybe it was so the fishmen wouldn't spoil the game by telling new players that the Triforce is in the game. Eclair Blanc 00:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Merge

Okay, these are just the Fishmen's way of saying Triforce. Why not put in this in the page for Triforce with this being a redirect? It would be better than having an article for it, since we can't even get a picture. So...opinions?User:Justin ZW/sig 03:53, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

If there is going to be a merge, let it be with Triforce Chart (since the triumph forks refer to the charts leading to the Triforce). Also, rescue the pun mention in the trivia if the merge proposal succeeds (that is, move it to the Triforce Chart, so that it's not lost when this current page becomes a mere redirect). Grant me that wish, pleeeeeeeeease. --K2L 04:07, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I had planned to. However, the redirect would point to the Triforce, because the Fishmen state that you find "a chart leading to the legendary Golden Triumph Forks." So, yeah. But definitely keeping that bit about the Japanese pun.User:Justin ZW/sig 04:45, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, this should definitely be merged with Triforce.Mandi Talk 04:59, May 23, 2010 (UTC)
Eh, Fishman is talking about the charts when he speaks of the Triumph Forks, but the meaning of the Triumph Forks themselves is a game of "Telephone" with the word "Triforce". If we're going to do something, it should point in the best direction, in this case, the most relevant and exact: Triforce. I support. — ciprianotalk 05:44, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I support as well. After all, we don't have a separate page for "Ganon"- the info on the big bad's appearance in TLoZ rightfully appears in the Ganon page, despite the original game's misspelling. Now, while "Triumph Forks" is obviously a more intentional garbling of the object in question's true name, I see no reason for it to fall under the same rule. Give then unanimous support, I merged them.User:Justin ZW/sig 02:04, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
