Template:Section

Purpose

This template replicates the effects of making a section on a page without adding a section header or adding anything to the Table of Contents. It primarily allows using section links, such as [[Page#SectionName]] The specified section link will instead link directly to where this template is placed as if it were a fully functional page section.

Usage

To use this template, type:
    {{Section|Name of Link |Alternate Display Name (Optional) }}
Where Name of Link is what you want "SectionName" to be in [[Page#Section]]. And Alternate Display Name is if you want the section to be something other than the text that is displayed. If left blank, the template displays Name of Link.

For linking table rows, it is recommended to set the id property on the row instead of using this template (example). If the section link is to text within a row, any content above that text will be out of view. Using the id attribute ensures that the full row is in view when the link is clicked.

Table rows which have an id attribute are made clickable by the Tables Gadget.
