Is Link dead in Majora's mask?

In Majora's mask, it is believed by some Legend of Zelda fans that Link, is actually in Purgatory, and is going through the stages of grief until he learns to accept his death. Let's look at some theories that have been batted around this subject.

Termina, sounds like Terminal. Terminal actually means "the end" so it is theorized that Termina is really the end for Link.

Link falls a very long way down the tree trunk to get to Termina. If Termina is underground, why is there a sky? And why is there a different moon than the one that is in Hyrule's sky?

The characters Link meets in Majora's mask in Termina, are the exact copies of the ones you meet in Ocarina of time, Hyrule.

The transformation masks all represent characters that have died. Darmani the Goron, Mchow the Zora, and the deku mask is most likely the little sprout that is the cild of the deku butler.

The Elgey of Emptiness, a song that is preformed to make a stone statue of whatever form Link is in, acts as a statue used in funerals. Link makes statues of all the masks, which are the faces of the deceased. Since Link can make a statue of himself, it would mean that he himself is dead as well.

In twilight princess, it has been confirmed that the hero shade is in fact Link in Ocarina of Time. When Link is in the lost woods, a girl tells him that all those in the woods will become a stalfo. In twilight princess, the hero shade says he has finally eased his Regrets but why would he have regrets if he has conquered both evil and time? Possibly because he died prematurely? Did he die in the lost woods and Become a stalfo?

The happy mask salesmens first line to Link when he meets him is "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" You would assume that he means Link being turned into a deku shrub, but when the moon hits clock town and you get a game over and it shows link being engulfed by flames and dying, the ending screen shows the same line. "You've met with a terrible fate havent' you?" Showing that he did not mean the deku shrub incident, but in fact Link's death.
