Biography

Yo. My username is Axle the Beast (although everyone generally calls me Axle.) My real name is Owen, if you must know, but you're not getting any more than that.

I am currently 17. I am male, born in Seattle, although I lived most of my childhood in Alaska. I now reside in Washington. I've been a geek most of my life and have continued to be so, even to this day. I'm also a freak. I was introduced to video games way back as a kid (the first game I ever played was Super Metroid,) and I've been a gamer ever since. I've also been a big fan of anime every since seeing several a long time ago. I'm also, despite my age, still a big fan of good old cartoons. I also like to think that I'm funny.

I also enjoy writing and creating fictional stories and worlds. I focus on fantasy and science fiction. Though I do hope to in the future design video games (as well as work with other forms of entertainment,) I am currently in the process of writing a book.

But that's enough of my personal (or if you prefer, real) life. As for my online life... well, all I really did was surf the internet until joining several message boards... namely two. The War Center (a Warcraft website) and the Game Maker Community (the official forums for a free computer game making software.) Since then, I've drifted around and made a lot of friends. I currently operate a small (though it's growing) gaming/geek website known as Earthenta.com.

Zelda

I was first introduced to the Zelda series a while back. The first game I ever played was Ocarina of Time. My older brother and sister had rented it and were going to play it with a friend, but my brother showed me the game and helped me through some of it (as I was a rather bad gamer back then.) I completed the first dungeon (Inside the Deku Tree) and made it to Death Mountain, but that's as far as I got.

Later, we bought A Link to the Past used. I enjoyed it very much, and though I didn't manage to beat it on my own, I did get to see the whole game. Then I briefly played Majora's Mask while borrowing it from a friend. Finally, I got my own copies of Ocarina of Time as well as Majora's Mask and loved both games.

I have played The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time (plus Master's Quest,) Majora's Mask, and The Wind Waker. I hope to play the games I have not yet played very soon. My favorite game is Majora's Mask (in fact, the area Ikana in that game I find to be the single most interesting aspect of the entire series, besides Majora's Mask itself.)

I like both art styles (realistic and cartoon.) I do however think they took the realistic style too far in Twilight Princess, and made it too sad and dark. I suppose I'll have to play it myself, though, and see if I'm overreacting.

Zelda is my favorite Nintendo game series, and Nintendo remains my favorite game company of them all. As such, Zelda is my favorite game series. There was probably an easier way to word that, but that's not how I roll.

Zelda Dungeon

I stumbled across Zelda Dungeon while surfing across various websites. Mainly I was visiting each site's affiliates, going from one site to the other. I was very impressed by the site right away, and not long after I joined their forums, The Dark World.

Apparently I've become well liked very quickly, as I've made a lot of friends in the short time I've been there. I was also recently promoted to Hylian Hero.

I hope to be a good member of Zelda Dungeon, as well as help them out whenever I can (although my time is limited with me working on my own website.)

I am not currently a member of any other Zelda communities (besides this one.)

Ordon Village

I was asked to join Ordon Village during it's return by it's webmaster, Alexander. He requested I be a moderator, so I was. When it returned to being a Zelda site, I became a moderator and a content writer, and I began work on the site's Wind Waker guides.

Recently I was promoted to a co-webmaster position.

Zelda Wiki

While I have only just joined Zelda Wiki, I would like to help out however I can.

I have actually been using Zelda Wiki for a while prior to actually joining. It has been very helpful to me!

Future Projects

I have a lot of plans for the future, both involving my writing, and my website, Earthenta.com. I also have a few Zelda related projects in mind, though some are a ways off from completion:

I am ready to begin a Zelda sprite comic on my website. I have had a lot of experience with sprites in the past, and the results I have been coming up with for the comic are much to my liking. It is called The Legend of Zelda: Monster Resistance, and is coming very soon.

I also have detailed plans for Zelda fangames, which I will make in the future when I have enough experience with Game Maker (the free game making program I use,) as well as once I've finished several, more original game projects. I have a total of three Zelda fangames in mind, each based in a different world (Hyrule, Termina and The Great Sea.)
