Hey, my name is Marco, but I'm more commonly known online as BigGoronSword. Time after time people keep asking me why did I call myself BGS. It's quite simple really; After playing Ocarina of Time I fell in love with the Goron race (we share some similar qualities and personalities) and so I wanted to have a screen name that reflected upon them. If you ever find a member with this name at a different blog, forum, etc... 95% of the time it's me.
History
I found ZeldaUniverse by luck actually; I was looking for a walkthrough for Oracle of Ages, the game I was playing at the time. I visited the mainsite on multiple occasions for information but didn't officially register until October 18th, 2003 when I discovered the forum. At first I was a wallflower, but soon made my own niche in the Zelda section help threads and discussions. I was never officially adopted, but Lioness took me in as one of her own. She became my mentor, and I personify that in my signature to this very day. Helping others just comes naturally to me, so I quickly took the chance of becoming adopter. I've adopted and helped dozens of members in my day, but it soon paid off to help out at a higher degree. On February 22nd, 2005 the mods introduced two new members among their ranks: Jason (the current owner of ZU) and myself. As the months flew by, I continued my duties and was recognized again for an opening to become a Super Moderator. Since then, I've stayed on this platteau, happy as can be.
Lately ZU's latest project has been the revamp, and I've contributed in it a few ways. Not only did I donate a handsome sum towards the cause, I've also volunteered the extra time and effort to rewrite everything (with the exception of the walkthrough) in the A Link to the Past section. When it comes to the layout itself, I (like many other mods) put my two cents in for ZU's future design.
Personality
I can be the knight in shining armor, but if you cross me, I'll cut you. Haha, no really, I'm generally a nice and helpful fellow who believes in giving people second chances (to an extent). Don't believe me? Here is what Anime_Queen has to say about it:
