Biography

Watsup? My name is Onilink89 and I am a Super Moderator at the Community:Zelda Dungeon Forums. Born July 8th, 1989 in The Netherland (Amsterdam). I currently live in the south of Rotterdam. My hobbies are: Gaming, Anime, Japanese culture, Drawing, Music & Dancing, and I like beautiful and hot ladies.

My very first Zelda title was Ocarina of Time. I totally loved the game and played it non-stop when I first played it. It was an amazing game during the time of the N64/Fifth Console Generation, and it still is. The graphics, the music, the gameplay and especially the storyline is phenomenal. After this I bought every single Zelda title that I could get my hands on. My favorite games series besides the Zelda series are: Fire Emblem series, Metroid Prime series, Mortal Kombat Series.

Also I like to watch Anime, there is nothing on TV, so instead I watch Anime on my PC and I prefer it always subbed. My favorite Anime titles would be: Death Note, Hajime no Ippo and Gundam series.

With music, well I like all sorts of music except hardcore. I just can’t stand hardcore. Most of the time I listen to: Trance, Techno, Rave, Hardstyle, Hip-Hop and Rock. Sometimes I also download soundtracks from games or anime.

Zelda Dungeon

I joined Zelda Dungeon Forums somewhere in 2005 in the second ZD generation. Why Zelda Dungeon you ask? Well, it started when I borrowed the SNES from my friend because I wanted to play A Link to the Past for the first time. Somewhere in the game I was stuck, so I looked for a guide. The fist guide that caught my eye was from Zelda Dungeon. The guide was so detailed yet so easy to follow with the images. So yeah, Mases did a good job on that guide. After that I decided to join the forums. I still remember the first person who welcomed me. It was a member named N-FANatic, a Moderator during that time. After a year, I got promoted as a Moderator and later I was Head Moderator. As a Head Moderator, I was also in charge of selecting the Hylian Heroes and Hylian Fans.

After Mases relaunced the current and third ZD generation, I didn’t ‘t get my Moderator position back right away. Mases didn’t wanted that the forums became a hangout for the old senior members just to talk but rather a more Zelda based forum. In other words that the Zelda section became more active and the subjects is more deeply discussed then the average topics. I agreed with him, so I started as a Hylian Hero. Later I got promoted as an Arbiter and then after a long time I was promoted as a Moderator. Now recently I was promoted as a Super Moderator. So basically I climbed the whole ladder to re earn my position back. But its not like that I was focused just to get my position back, in fact I never asked to be a Moderator. Its just that I want the best for the forums and that I can be part in it.

Being a moderator for a long time now has been quite fun but there where also conflicts. Normally I remain neutral and that all members are treated equally and not by ranks. Same goes for the Staff, I am against the idea of just because you are in the Staff, that it gives you the privilege to break the rules or that you have more power or something. I even had conflicts in the Staff, especially in the second ZD generation. Because you had Moderators that had this idea. That’s why Mases decided to make me a Head Moderator back then.
