Poison Mites[1] are small creatures similar in appearance to a scarab beetle that appear only in Twilight Princess.

Strategy

Found in the Arbiter's Grounds, the Poison Mites crawl over Link in swarms, slowing him down. They can be killed with the Spin Attack. They also can be kept at bay with the Lantern lit, causing them to form a circle around Link. They usually appear near quicksand in an attempt to drag him down faster. They bear similar traits with the Morths, from The Wind Waker.

Despite their name, they are not poisonous, and they cause no damage to Link.
