Template:Item Apples are recurring items found in A Link to the Past, Twilight Princess and A Link Between Worlds.
Location and Uses
In A Link to the Past, Apples are a health restoring item that can only be obtained by dashing into trees with the Pegasus Boots. Apples are also the answer to one of the Lumberjack's riddles.
In Twilight Princess, Apples are found in the stalls of Hyrule Castle Town's South Road. However, Link cannot actually take or use them.
In A Link Between Worlds, they have the exact same use as in A Link to the Past. If Link takes one, he can be seen eating it. In this game, he can store Apples in a Bottle. In the apple tree, next to his house, are three apples, if he didn't made any StreetPass encounters. However, one apple more grow in, after three Shadow Link battles, to a maximum of 20.
In addition, this game introduces Green Apples: sometime, a classic Apple, from the apple tree, can be replaced by a Green Apple. They give back three hearts, and one of Gramps', challenge consists of winning a fight after eating a Green Apple (as well as a normal one).
