Items in Breath of the Wild

Items in Breath of the Wild are divided into several inventory categories; Weapons, Bows, Shields, Armor, Materials, Food and Important Items. Most items in the game are not permanent; food and elixirs are consumed immediately on use, and equipment will break after degrading. Runes can be obtained from Shrines of Trials, granting Link special abilities to manipulate the world around him.
