Stalfos (July 7, 2007)

I'm incredibly sorry that this data was lost. There are, so far, three votes for this article, but my memory only serves to remember two of them: Hisak and Adamcox82. However, I do know there was one last vote - Zebra something I believe? You all have no need to vote again. Once more, I'm sorry that this was deleted! --Jase 12:33, 3 June 2007 (PDT)

Now that all the votes have been properly signed, I make that 10 votes. Stafos is now the first user-nominated featured article on ZW.org! --Adamcox82 01:20, 7 July 2007 (PDT)
  • I did NOT support this article. I said I would once the Four Swords sections were added. Hisak 13:38, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
  • The article now has a section for every game. For the record, my original nomination was on the grounds that the Stalfos has featured in every (?) Zelda game to date, and currently broadly fills all of the main requisites above. --Adamcox82 14:01, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
  • I agree that we should have Stalfos as the featured article --DarkTriforce99 18:03, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Now that all games are covered, I support this article for Featured Article. Hisak 17:18, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
  • I Support Stalfos as a featured article if the pictures are aligned a little neater. SeanMD80 17:51, 7 June 2007 (PDT)
I would rearrange the images, but I now have a weird screen resolution (1440 x 900) after upgrading to a widescreen TFT! I guess the images will display in a different place depending on the resolution the page is viewed at (hence the page width). What could be taken as the most common? 1024x768, 1280x1024? --Adamcox82 13:38, 13 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Pretty flippin' good article! With a bit more information, maybe about other other games I would fully support it! I support it. 42bens 21:27, 13 June 2007 (PDT)
  • i agree with this and its been too long since that main page has got a picture lom678
  • this is a great article of one of the best enemies in the world of zelda and i also support it. twilightinthedark
  • This was one of my favorite enemies in Twilight Princess. I also support this Featured Artical! --74.79.59.143 18:05, 6 July 2007 (PDT)
  • This is a great article and it should be displayed and i think the stalfos are great commen enemies with the power of lower minibosses: victorygreymon
  • Stalfos are older than the Legend of Zelda itself (well not technically) and I'm pretty sure they've appeared in every Zelda game to date I don't think even the Octorock has managed that. --86.7.92.20 16:53, 1 November 2007 (EDT)

ZeldaInformer (August 1, 2007)

Zelda Informer, a promising new Zelda site that was released this monday (16.7.07). The project is organized by a group of ex-Zelda Universe members that eventually grew tired of ZU and decided to create a better site. The site content will be produced almost entirely by a group of Zelda theorists, originally formed over at Zelda Universe, called The Bombers. --Uncle Meat 7:20, 17 July 2007 (PDT)

  1. Having made some considerable edits to it, as well as it being the very first site listed on the Zelda Wiki to use the brand spanking new Infobox Website template, I'd like to throw my support behind this article. --Captain Cornflake 19:52, 17 July 2007 (PDT)
  2. The article gets my support, the guys over at ZI know what they're talking about, more so than any other group I've had the pleasure of knowing. Experience is priceless, and they have plenty of it.--Darknut King 20:20, 19 July 2007
  3. Ever expanding, the actual article itself is well written and concise and gives a valued look towards the website.--Yami 25:53 GMT, 19 July 2007

  11. The more users the better for this site, and like others have said, it needs all the exposure it can get. I've only been at the site for a little while, and I've already had some great discussions. --Nick722 19:48, 29 July 2007 (PDT).

Lake Hylia (October 2, 2007)

Given that the article has recently been greatly extended, and that Lake Hylia is a frequently recurring location in many games in the series, I think it may be time that a place/location became our featured article. --Adamcox82 12:15, 14 July 2007 (PDT)

  1. I support this one quite throughly since I I know how much work has gone into finding many of the images. Additionally I feel it is a prime example of the work that can be done even on an article about a place. 42bens 14:36, 14 July 2007 (PDT)
  2. I agree with others by supporting this article. It has indeed gone through alot of improvements to prove that it could qualify as a featured article. --Twilightinthedark 5:30, 14 July 2007 (EDT)
  3. I agree this should be the next featured article. --Zebazebra 08:21, 20 July 2007 (PDT)
  4. In my opinion, I would perfer Lake Hylia as a featured article becuase it's interesting to see the evolution of Lake Hylia in the past games and this article really does explain it.-- cosmo.vnz 12:20, 21 July (PDT)
  5. It's a good article, but the Twilight Princess section is too text-heavy and the Ocarina of Time picture looks really ugly on the page. Either way, it's the best candidate.Hisak 14:59, 31 July 2007 (PDT)
  6. I support this artical and agree it should be featured next. This is one of my favorite places within the Zelda series, and it's artical page looks great.--PrincessZelda TP 20:02, 8 August 2007 (PDT)
  7. I think its a cool article and it would be awesome as the first one people saw Victorygreymon
  8. This lake has appeared in many Zelda games and has changed a lot since A Link to the Past, I agree that this article should be featured next.--Twilight Shadow 18:57, 1 October 2007 (PDT)

In the interest of time, I'm going to say that next vote wins (in Lake Hylia vs. Zant). --Jase 06:55, 29 September 2007 (EDT)

...which means that Lake Hylia is our new featured article! (finally...) --Adam 18:41, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

Zant (October 16, 2007)

A somewhat more obvious choice, this article is extensive and detail-rich. And, love him or hate him, Zant makes for an un-deniably cool villain! --Adamcox82 12:15, 14 July 2007 (PDT)

  1. Defiantly shows the great amount of work of many users on the wiki. I support it, but it is a bit obvious. 42bens 14:25, 14 July 2007 (PDT)

  5. A much superior article at this time to Lake Hylia. SeanMD80 20:39, 22 August 2007 (PDT)
  6. Zant is one of the strangest, most original characters, I say he deserves a chance in the spotlight --Mockingbird 00:39, 20 September 2007 (EDT)
  7. Zant is the villain of the greatest Zelda game ever so he deserves to be in the main page-- Draonjioel 20:12, 26 September 2007 (PDT)
  8. Zant's battle had porbably the most variety as well as the most amount of items needed to beat him. The final stage with him was by far the best due to being a sword-to-sword fight. I too recommend this character as our next article. Twilightinthedark 10:39, October 4 2007 (EDT)
  9. Zant is cool, he has awesome powers and is completely crazy!!!-- Twilight Shadow 12:13, October 5 2007 (PDT)

Dark Link (November 5, 2007)

This article of a secondary character is stock full of information the amount of which rivals most of the main character articles. It has information ranging from fan-theories to soundtrack themes and battle walkthroughs. Knil 22:40, 29 August 2007 (EDT)

  • Top of the page is really cluttered. Needs more work. --Hisak 23:39, 20 October 2007 (EDT)
  1. This is really a well-organized article that covers an important, but often overlooked character in the Zelda series. It explains all of the theories surrounding Dark Link, and explains as much of what we know about this very mysterious character. I definitely found this article to be an interesting read. Seraphim 13:15, 16 October 2007 (PDT)
  2. I always thought of Dark Link as a cool touch to the series. On his article page, I really like the details that were put in on his appearances within the series. I think the article page is quite up to par, and would like to see it on the main page as the next featured article! --PrincessZelda TP 19:56, 16 October 2007 (EDT)
  3. I agree. Dark Link deserves his time in the sun. The article covers nigh everything ever written or thought about Dark Link, so it's about as thorough as it's gonna get. An article that thorough deserves recognition. --Dinosaur bob 20:28, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Link's Crossbow Training (February 13, 2008)

I think the article is rather well done, and has about all the information it can have without going into a full-on walkthrough. Anyone else? Ando 21:21, 19 January 2008 (EST)

Moblin (February 18, 2008)

Now that this article has had an extensive rewrite, I'd say it's of a standard worthy of being featured. --Adam 14:19, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

  • It's a good article, but the Minish Cap section is too bare-bones for me to vote for it. --Hisak 20:04, 16 October 2007 (EDT)
  • I think this simple monster, not one that has a lot to write about, but basics. That article only has this kind of things. Also, the Great Moblin is a boss and it should have its own page. --ZS09

OK, well I nominated it based on Jason's comments on the talk page; since the revision he was talking about, it seems to have had all the necessary improvements. I agree that the Minish Cap section needs more than just the quotes, I'll see what I can do. But I'm not sure if the Great Moblin should be given it's own page as a boss (bearing in mind I haven't played the Oracle games, but from the text in the article it seems he doesn't fight Link like a regular boss). --Adam 02:36, 17 October 2007 (EDT)

  1. Less discombobulated than "Dark Link". SeanMD80 21:17, 18 October 2007 (EDT)

Majora's Mask (Boss) (March 8, 2008)

The Mask not the game. This is an awesome boss and should be featured--Stripe 6:37 13 February 2008 (EST)

Support
  1. I agree with Stripe. The second part of the boss was my favorite. --ShadowLink45
  2. Yeah, I'd say now I've merged Majora into the article, and with a few other minor fixes it now meets all the criteria for being featured. Good article, and a good boss! —Adam (talk) 12:19, 16 February 2008 (EST)
  3. I agree. Majora wasn't exactly the most challenging final boss, but the article is good. Adzma 05:49, 17 February 2008 (EST)
  4. Changing my vote. I loved Majora. He was a one of a kind boss, and the article page looks nicely done! --SmashBrosSheik 11:13, 17 February 2008 (EST)
  5. Majora, so fun to beat up, especially as Fierce Deity =) This gets my vote -User:Zeldagirl93
  6. Dear God thank you. MM NEEDS to have some spotlight. It was a great game and boss and it goes widely unnoticed.--Oni 19:54, 6 March 2008 (EST)
  7. He needs more fans. (Unsigned vote by Linklink - see rule 6 above)
  8. I agree. A great boss for a great game. It should be featured. --Vaati 17:04, 3 March 2008 (EST)
  9. I also agree. The article is well organized and detailed as far as content is concerned. There are enough images within the article for clarity. Majora was also an entertaining, unique endgame boss.--Rdnckj258 12:05, 5 March 2008 (EST)

Definitely the coolest pedestal ever since it holds the Master Sword. --Seablue254 14:55, 29 March 2008 (EDT)

  1. Oh, wow, I was NOT expecting what I saw when I clicked the article name. This is actually a well-written article that cites its sources, is well-organized, has good images, and even has a section regarding a Hamtaro reference that I had no knowledge of! I approve. --Ando (T : C) 20:27, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
  2. The article page is nicely done. It has decent snapshots, and a good amount of info. I support this one! --SmashBrosSheik 20:59, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
  3. I like it, sort of. It may be slightly shorter than most featured articles, but it is very well organized and is full of information about a topic that you wouldn't think there'd be much information about.--Rdnckj258 15:44, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
  4. Yeah, I like this article a lot, especially compared to the other featured article nominations. And I find the Hamtaro reference to be really funny.--Magnus orion 17:29, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
  5. To be honest, when I first saw this nominated, my heart sank. But on reading the article, I realised it's an excellent example example of just what can be done with such a seemingly mundane and trivial subject. —Adam (talk) 12:23, 3 April 2008 (EDT)
  6. This is what one would call an inspiration, my friend. If only more articles about seemingly-insignificant topics could be given such dedicated attention... I actually learned something new about Zelda from this, unlike most featured articles. --Douken 13:49, 3 April 2008 (EDT)
  7. I didn't even know this article exsisted, but I read it through and it's actually a really good article. It for sure deserves to have that little triforce icon on the top right-hand side of the article :).--Link hero of light 19:06, 3 April 2008 (EDT)
  8. This sounds like one of the articles that would be a stub. I half expected a page that said "the rock where the Master Sword is". It's a good article, nice pictures, sources cited, and how can you say no to that adorable cameo? --Sheik-Yumil1988 14:08, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
  9. I'm going to change my vote. It's got some great pictures, and it's well written for a topic with not much attention. Plus, the Pedestal of Time in Hamtaro? Pople deserve to know about that! --Emeryn 11:01, 5 April 2008 (EDT)
  10. This article deserves featuring. A lot of interesting information. --Yuvorias, 6 April

Triforce (May 17, 2008)

I mean, come on! The Triforce? Surely as vital a component of the series as Link, Zelda, or Ganon himself. As we all know, it's the driving force at the centre of almost every plotline, and a great article to boot. I may add some more sources for good measure... —Adam (talk) 17:41, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

  1. I like this article, and not just because it fits most of the descriptions above, but also because it is a vital part of the Zelda series. --David (T : C) 20:07, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
  2. Just a good Article what else is there to say?--The Legend of Zelda 00:31, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
  3. This article is basically about the heart of the Zelda universe, the Triforce, its an absolute must for the featured article and its written well too giving info on its creation and such -Kresh64 22:56, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
  4. I think so, the triforce is a item since the REAL zelda. --Legend of Link 01:05, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
  5. The Triforce deserves its time in the spotlight.--Matt 04:32, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
  6. I like it, it's an integral part of the Zelda universe, and should be featured, but it needs a little more than just one citation.--Rdnckj258 21:56, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
  7. Such a pivitol (hope spelled that right) element of the Zelda storyline, and a good article to boot, deserves to be featured --Emeryn 22:44, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  8. The Triforce: The essence of the Goddesses, the thing that Ganon is always trying to steal but gets beat up by Link anyway! --Zeldagirl93 15:50, 9 May 2008 (EST)
  9. It's a great article, with good pictures and loads of information! The Triforce is also so important in the Zelda series. --Mariofan9 19:28, 14 May 2008 (EST)
  10. Basically being the focal point in most, if not all Zelda games, it should by far be featured next. So, with that, posting vote number 10!! XD Plus, each piece has detailed information. --SmashBrosSheik 01:02, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Opposition
  1. I know, what am I doing opposing this? Simple - everyone knows about the triforce. Why don't we nominate articles about the lesser known aspects of the Zelda world? I mean, I am getting fairly tired that every featured article is always about the most known aspects of the series. --Nathan 0:17, 12 May 2008 (CT)

Midna (June 12, 2008)

We must be doing something right here. This is one of the most viewed articles on ZeldaWiki.org. It is well-written, has plenty of sources, good formatting, and is quite thorough. A great choice.--Mjr162006 02:29, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

  6. Midna is a very interesting character with a twisted storyline and origin. --Chaosmaster03, 11:43, 4 June 2008 (EST)

Master Sword (June 17, 2008)

With the nomination of the Pedestal of Time recently, the Master Sword must be the next logical step. A well-written article that cites sources, and the majority of its pictures are simply beautiful. --Yuvorias 9:24, 15 April 2008 (EST)

  5. The Master Sword is how the Hero of Time (or Light, or Winds...) beats Ganon. It's the reason that Ganon hasn't taken over Hyrule yet! Of course it should be a featured article. --Mathboyzld 15:12, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
  6. Yeah, the article's pretty nicely put together overall, and it's an important subject. I'd say it deserves a feature. --Adamcox82 21:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
  7. Pretty cool. I second. --Zeldablade 12:54, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
  8. A classic weapon, which is one of the most powerful swords in the series. it is also the base of one of the best games in the world, the legend of zelda: the ocarina of time, as well as the newest game in the seires, the twilight princess. so, yeah i second it. --sheikahlord 20:27, 03 June 2008 (UTC)

  1. I'm sorry I have to oppose of this article. When referencing the origin of the Master Sword, you state that blade could have been made from the Sages during the sealing of Ganon. However it has already been stated that in OoT the Sword was present before Ganon even posses the Triforce, giving no reason for the Sages to interfere in his matters. As well during a meeting at E3 Miyamoto has made note that Twilight Princess takes place 100 years after Ocarina of Time, as well the TP Sages are different from the OoT Sages, and again the Blade was present before TP and technically OoT. (Sorry for so long) Also the Sage's that 'created' the blade would not have been the same sages that sealed Ganon seeing that Rauru was the last remaining Sage of the past seven, so it would technically have to be those sages. (God I hope I make sense ^-^)--Ausaka 23:46, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Gerudo (July 21, 2008)

Very nice article, more of the work of (the sadly absent) IfIHaveTo. Although the references are slightly excessive IMO ;) —Adam (talk) 17:41, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

  1. All Zelda fans know about the Triforce, but some of the newer fans probably don't know much about the Gerudo race. I think the Triforce is very important, but more people would learn more with this article. --Triforceboy4 21:49, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
  2. It's an interesting article. Maybe a few too many references, but. I'll give it my vote. --Yuvorias, 9:49, 30 May 2008 (EST)
  3. I'm just glad that someone is putting something up about the Gerudo. I've been searching for information from them for some time.--Ausaka, 23:50, 30 May 2008 (EST)
  4. I second this. I think this race is just too important not to at least be notified on the front page. ZeldaGirl96 22:54, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
  5. I'm with Triforceboy4. This is an interesting read and very informative. I didn't even know what the Gerudo race was. It deserves to be a Featured Article.(Unsigned vote by Master Storm — see rule 6.)
  6. :O Not nominated yet?! Well here's a vote! Besides, very informative article :D User:Seablue254/sig 13:32, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
  7. This is an excellent example of what an article should be. It has many references. The sections are long and detailed. The references in this article are also excellent examples of what the Cite Template is now capable of doing. This article, along with the Ganon article, was actually the incentive for the new features that were added to the Cite Template earlier today... wait, I guess with UTC it is yesterday. This article deserves featured status.User:Mjr162006/sig 03:22, July 4, 2008 (UTC)
  8. This article needs to be nominated. It has been up for nearly three months, is very informative, and is well cited.--Rdnckj258 22:24, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
  9. Well wrote and presented (Unsigned vote by AndrewSutty — see rule 6.)
  10. This article is one of the most important articles because I almost had no idea who Gerudos were until I read the Gerudo article. That is why I am voting for the Gerudo article to be the featured article.--Akki 20:44, 12 July 2008 (EST)

Darknut (August 30, 2008)

This is a very detailed article. It also happens to be one of our most-viewed articles on the wiki. The article also has many references. That is not an easy thing to do with such a common enemy. It is well-organized. There are several images of good quality throughout the page. It is a great article. Time to make it featured.User:Mjr162006/sig 07:03, July 22, 2008 (UTC)

  2. And my August vote goes to...Darknut! It's a beautifully written article, very descriptive, has a fair amount of references and looks like something that belongs in that FA spot. On a personal note however, it'd be nice to have my rewrite of the "Legend of Zelda" part featured ;) User:Seablue254/sig 22:41, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
  3. I like this nomination because I have already nominated the Darknut picture so it will fit well to the Main Page. --Draonjioel
  4. Say what you want but I LOVE Darknut battles and I'm surprised it hasn't been featured yet. I love the descriptions.ZeldaGirl96 18:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
  5. Yeah, I've always liked this one, and with the recent expansions of the sections for the earlier games, and merging with other Darknut articles, it's in great shape to be featured. User:Adamcox82/sig 20:49, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
  6. One of the most formidable enemies eveeeeer! deserves a feature! Harryhas5 16:18, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
  7. I'll support this article this time around. The Darknut is usually the most formidable non-boss enemy in the series. The ercent edits make it a much better article than it was when it was last nominated.--Rdnckj258 17:47, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
  8. This is the article that has got most of the votes, so i guess i´m in too... Darknuts are cool anyway.#Olle93 23:48 ,August 11, 2008

  1. Now this is an interesting nomination! I'd almost forgotten about this one, and it does tick a lot of boxes. Most of the content is down to one particularly dedicated editor, who did a very nice job - I'd say this ticks all the right boxes :) User:Adamcox82/sig18:25, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
  2. First, let me tell you that I was molgeratwinmold99 but I forgot my password :P But anyway, even if they're mentioned or not, Naryu, Din, and Farore are worth a featured article. Molgeratwinmold55 13:05, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
