Aruroda is a one-eyed scorpion-like foe in The Adventure of Link. It usually keeps it's eye closed, and often charges directly at Link, firing fireballs from its tail. Theses fireballs are normally unblockable and require that Link use the Reflect magic. It can only be harmed by striking it when it's single large eye is open, much like a Gohma.

Trivia

  • It is interesting that "Rōdā" is the Japanese name for Lowder, suggesting a link between the two monsters. It should be noted that the katakana for "Lowder", Template:Japanese, is slightly different from Aruroda's spelling, Template:Japanese. The absence of the chōonpu is not unusual however: Leever for example has been listed as both Template:Japanese and Template:Japanese in different games.
  • These enemies have elsewhere been given the unofficial name {{{2}}}.[1]
  • The Aruroda greatly resembles the Aracha from Skyward Sword. It's behavior and weakness during battle is also very similar to the elder Aracha, Moldarach, particularly when it loses it's claws.
  • Artwork from the Futashiba Guide, which was not created by Nintendo, depicts it with claws that the creature does not have.
