Batreaux {Pronounced /bæt troʊ/, bat-troe} is a character in Skyward Sword. He is depicted as a demon that wishes to be human. He has befriended Kukiel, a citizen of Skyloft whom the other Skyloftians believe to be missing or kidnapped. Kukiel seems to be the only citizen that is unaffected by Batreaux's menacing appearance. His goal is to become friends with humans, specifically those living in Skyloft. Trivia

  • Batreaux is similar to the Mad Batter of A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening, as both are characters who take bat-like forms and upgrade certain aspects of Link.
  • Once Batreaux turns into a human, all the enemies at night in Skyloft disappear, excluding Remlits which instead become non-aggressive.
