However, if Link talks to the guard at the Death Mountain gate of Kakariko Village first, he can get a discount on the Hylian Shield and buy it for just 50 Rupees.[1] Seven years later when the castle town is destroyed, the owner of the Bazaar flees to Kakariko Village and sets up shop in what used to be the Death Mountain Trail guard's house.

In Ocarina of Time 3D, the Bazaar gets a more carnival-like look, being more elaborate and featuring posters, bombs, streamers, items in storage, and a green carpet. The discount charge is also reduced to 40 Rupees.
