Black Octoroks are enemies in Cadence of Hyrule.[1]

Characteristics

Black Octoroks are the strongest variety of Octorok, possessing the most health and attack power out of all the Octorok. There are two varieties of Black Octorok, one being on land and one in shallow water but both behave identically, remaining hidden underground or underwater until Cadence, Link, Yves, or Zelda walks in front of them. Once detected, they will emerge from their hiding spot and move to the beat of the music, staying exposed for a total of four beats. After emerging, they will fire a rock-like projectile on the second beat and will remain exposed for two more beats before returning underground.

While hidden underground and underwater, they can identified by the red grass-like stem on their head sticking out of their hiding spot.
