The Founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule is an event in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

The Founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule occurs on the Surface following the events of Skyward Sword.[1] The kingdom is founded by the descendants of Zelda from Skyward Sword.[2] The Oocca also participated in Hyrule's founding.[3]

The founders of Hyrule in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were Sonia and Rauru,[4] though it is unclear which iteration of Hyrule this depicts.[5] The kingdom was established at the Great Plateau,[6] chosen because it was the location of the sacred Temple of Time.[2]
