Biography
Soal is a small boy who makes a little cash by polishing shoes on the streets of Hyrule Castle Town. He can be found sitting outside Chudley’s Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium in the central square, where he will offer to polish Link's shoes for 10 Rupees.[1] This is necessary to be allowed to access to the Emporium.[2] Once the Emporium is purchased by Malo and transformed into Malo Mart, Link will no longer need to polish his shoes to enter. However, Soal will still remain outside the shop offering to clean Link's shoes for the same price.
Etymology
"Soal" is a play on the word "sole", the bottom surface of a shoe.
