Link learning from Bo.
Link wrestles Gor Coron.

Sumo is a classic Japanese martial art, featured in Twilight Princess. Link is taught the art of Sumo by Bo, who also gives him the Iron Boots to enable him to effectively wrestle the Gorons. After defeating Gor Coron in a match, Link gains access to the Goron Mines and easy access to the hot spring below from the room.

The three techniques of Sumo in Twilight Princess are:

  • Push: Grabs the foe and starts to push them toward the edge of the arena.
  • Slap: Stuns the enemy and is a useful combo when followed with a Push.
  • Sidestep:A defensive tactic which can be used to push a enemy toward a close boundary of the arena.

When Link obtains the Iron Boots, Mayor Bo tells him not to tell anybody, especially Renado. This is a reference to the famous "It's a secret to everybody" quote from The Legend of Zelda (Game).
