The Travels of Link

The Photo Album is an item added to Link's Awakening DX, the Game Boy Color remake of Link's Awakening. After Link has his first photo taken by the mouse photographer in the Camera Shop, his very own photo album entitled "The Travels of Link" will be produced. Afterwards Link may encounter various events in game where the photographer returns to take another photograph.

However if Link does not get his first photograph taken at the shop, any moments where he would normally encounter a photo event would be ignored until Link gets his album. The album can be obtained at anytime except when Marin, Madam MeowMeow's BowWow, or the Blue Rooster is following him. There are several photographs that can only be taken at certain times, and would be impossible to obtain if Link misses them, whereas a few others are available at anytime.

There are a total of 13 photographs, but only 12 can be taken. Link's first photograph also has an alternate photograph, but only one or the other can be obtained.

The Photographer 'The Travels of Link '

When Link first talks to the Photographer, he will ask him to stand in front of a curtain so he can take his picture. If Link agrees he gets a picture of himself giving the peace sign in front of the curtain. (Note: This photograph cannot be obtained if 'Game Over' is obtained.) If Link refuses and keeps telling the Photographer 'No' he will get a picture of himself beaten up in front of the curtain. (Note: This photograph cannot be obtained if 'Here Stands A Brave Man' is obtained.)	File:Photo01 2.gif 'Game Over.'
When Link walks up to the edge of the beach-side cliff while Marin is following him, the Photographer will take a picture of Link and Marin looking at the ocean. (Note: This photograph can no longer be obtained after waking the Walrus with Marin.)	File:Photo05.gif '...'
When Link jumps down the town well while Marin is following him, the Photographer will take a picture of Marin landing on Link. (Note: This photograph can no longer be obtained after waking the Walrus with Marin.)	File:Photo06.gif 'Heads Up!'
When Link and Marin walk up to the town weather vane, which is a giant replica of a cucco, the Photographer will want to take a picture of the couple, but Tarin will push his way into it. When Link walks up to the window outside of Grandpa Ulrira's house, the Photographer will walk up and take a picture of Grandpa Ulrira yapping away on the phone. (Note: This photograph is always available.)	File:Photo02.gif 'Link Discovers Ulrira's Secret!'
After Link returns BowWow, he goes outside and walks up to BowWow. The Photographer will take a picture of BowWow 'playing' with Link. (Note: This photograph is always available.)	File:Photo03.gif 'Link Plays With BowWow!'
When Link steals something (anything) from the Town Tool Shop in Mabe Village, a picture of him stealing stuff will automatically be added to his album. The Photographer won't be seen this time. When Link jumps onto the Fisherman's boat and talks to him under the bridge near Catfish's Maw, he will try and catch something and fish up the Photographer. The Fisherman falls overboard and the Photographer takes a picture of him splashing in the water. (Note: This photograph is always available.)	File:Photo10.gif 'Be more careful next time!'
When Link walks into the house in the upper right corner of Animal Village and over to the pond in the upper right hand side , there is a Zora living there that can only be seen with the Magnifying Lens. When Link walks up to the main gate of Kanalet Castle before opening it, Richard will walk up, saying that he wanted to see how the hunt was going. The Photographer will take a picture of the two in front of the castle. (Note: This photograph can no longer be obtained after opening the main gate of Kanalet Castle.) After Link returns the ghost to his grave, he walks up and touches said grave. The Photographer will come and take a picture of his good deed. (Note: This photograph is always available.)	File:Photo08.gif 'I Was Very Afraid.'
When Link walks across the bridge of Tal Tal Heights, the Photographer will ask to take a picture. When he's about to push the button, he'll trip and fall off the bridge, taking the photo on the way down. (Note: This photograph is always available.)	File:Photo09.gif 'Close Call.'
