Quick Select
Quick Select,(TotK)[1] also known as Quick Equip,(ALBW)[2] is a recurring ability in The Legend of Zelda series.
Uses
A Link Between Worlds
Ravio first tells Link about the Quick Equip ability after the young hero obtains all three Pendants of Virtue. He explains that to use the Quick Equip, Link needs to touch and hold over the X and Y button icons on the bottom screen, which will cause the Quick Equip to open. Once open, Link can quickly scroll through the listed items to retrieve the one he wants without opening the Item Select screen.[3]
Later, Ravio will give the young hero even more advice for using the Quick Equip, such as how to use the "slider" option to filter what items are available for the Quick Equip. Ravio explains that when the slider is moved to the rightmost portion of the item select screen, only four items are available to select with Quick Equip. When moved to the left, it can include up to 8, 12, 16 and 20 possible item options, though Ravio recommends only using it for the items that Link uses the most.[4][5]
