Zaganaga is a boss that first appeared in ALBW. It resides in a secluded area in Lorule, only accessible after exploring the Desert Palace in Hyrule, and guards the painting of Sage Irene. It replaces Vitreous from ALttP as the boss of Misery Mire. Unlike most of the Lorule bosses in A Link Between Worlds, it does not share many similarities with its Hyrulean counterpart, Vitreous, other than the fact that they both have multiple eyes.

It replaces Vitreous from ALttP as the boss of Misery Mire. However, even though the battle with it takes place in Lorule, to access the Fissure that leads to it's lair, Link must navigate the Desert Temple, which was replaced as one of the earliest temples with the House of Gales, instead of the Misery Mire dungeon, which is strangely absent, though the rest of the swampy area remains mostly unchanged. Unlike most of the Lorulean bosses in A Link Between Worlds, it does not share many similarities with its Hyrulean counterpart, Vitreous, other than the fact that they both have multiple eyes.
