Upon meeting Link, Telma and the young hero become fast friends as they both work together to get Ilia and Prince Ralis to Kakariko Village safely. She takes a special liking to Link, calling him "honey" (although she refers to Ilia like that also) and often winking and jokingly flirting with him.<ref>{{cite|If you ever need anything, stop by. Later on in the game, Link can return to Telma's Bar, where the [[Resistance]] sits at a table and tries to figure out about the different things happening around Hyrule. The table also contains a map which labels where Link finds the dungeons housing the [[Mirror of Twilight]] shards. Telma is of crucial help to Link's quest: first by displaying great bravery in driving the caravan to Kakariko  in order to aid Prince Ralis, and later by giving Link an [[invoice]] to show the doctor, which will ultimately help Ilia recover her memory.<ref>{{Cite|Ah... Telma also seems to have a rather low opinion of the [[Soldier|Hylian Soldier]]s, more than once stating how ineffective and cowardly they are (the soldiers run away once they hear about a path that was infested with monsters).<ref>{{cite|How's it come to this, huh?
