The '''Gemesaur King''' is a boss in {{ALBW}}. Unlike the [[Helmasaur King]] from {{ALttP}}, who is a bulky ranged attacker, the Gemesaur King is an agile physical attacker. This can be noted due to the facts that he does not breath fire like his Hyrulean counterpart, but rather charges at [[Link]]. The Gemesaur King's lair is located at the bottom of the [[Dark Palace]], and is guarded by a large gate which can only be opened by letting in light from the top floor. The room includes two torches in two of its corners, and several candles around the wall which lead towards a large mask. In it hides the painting of [[Gulley]].

The strategy to defeat Gemesaur King is to throw three [[Bomb]]s at its iron mask. If a Bomb explosion hits any of the crystals on its back, [[Rupee]]s will be dropped. Once the mask is broken, it will attempt to confuse Link by turning the room pitch black. It will dash around the room and try to trample Link, so he must use the [[Lantern]] to light the two torches in the bottom right corner and the top left. This will reveal the Gemesaur King, stopping its dashing. Link can then slash the jewel at his head.
