Correctly if I'm wrong, but I think the only way to access your watchlist is by going to the special pages first. I think it would be nice if there was an option elsewhere. One option would be at the bottom-left, along with the contributions, or at the top-right. A newbie may not know that the watchlist is on the special pages and also one click instead of two is better.
