Chudley and Malver are NOT the name of this character. "Celebrity Clerk" is his name, according to the official sites, and no other source gives his name. Please change accordingly. This also seems to have happened for the Doctor, and the three STAR girls.KrytenKoro 22:56, 29 November 2007 (EST)

Reminiscent of Someone

I guess I'll call him the shopkeeper then for now...But I have to say I think he's a bit of a nod at Ingo from Ocarina of Time. He also had a drastic change in personality during the course of the game. Both seem greedy, as Ingo charges for short rides as his article notes (and I did play the game recently, too...) and the shopkeeper is gouging customers in the wallet exceedingly. And while their physical appearances are not too similar, the style of their mustaches seem to be rather identical. One last thing, related to the first point, is that both of them are at their worst when they are self-employed and run their respective businesses, but once under the employment of another (or BACK under, in the case of Ingo), they become much more welcoming and pleasant. My guess is the shopkeeper's a sort of nod at Ingo since it seems there's lots of references to Ocarina in Twilight Princess here and there. Ragnarok 05:49, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Though there may be some similarities between the characters. It is mostly Nintendo reusing themes.Mandi Talk 05:54, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I am reminded more of Bomb-Master Cannon from Wind Waker. Litnin200 (talk) 07:57, 28 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Character renaming?

How can we know that it is the same person if the character has a different name after the store is bought out? Perhaps it's a different character who looks similar? I mean, I doubt they'd just change someone's name like that...User:Justin ZW/sig 00:09, 5 December 2010 (EST)

"Not considered Canon"?

Does Art & Artifacts label art of him in his Malo Mart outfit "Chudley"? If not, then the Prima guide's claim that he changed his handle to Malver after his store was bought out could still be valid. Rjd1922 (talk) 09:44, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Art & Artifacts uses his initial render for Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium, but Encyclopedia explicitly uses his Malo Mart model with the name of Chudley, so Prima's claim doesn't hold up to that. TriforceTony (talk) 00:44, 29 August 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
